DOVER — Owner’s Jim & Pam Pidgeon are coming up on their 3rd year anniversary of ownership of The Silver Fountain Inn & Tea Parlor in historic downtown Dover, NH, and while they have made several changes and enhancements to the business they have many more in mind for the future! Several rooms have been updated with new antique furniture pieces (mostly from Just The Thing), new vanities and decorum that serves to further enhances the Victorian Bed & Breakfast already beautiful ornate interior. The Tea Parlor is getting more recognition and occupancy as well – we envision that we may turn one of our bottom floor rooms in to additional dining space to allow for more tables and more function space capability. We are diligently working on our outdoor gardens and seating areas to allow for a peaceful lovely setting for our guests to enjoy. Now that the Silver Street construction is finished the street upgrades have done much to quiet the traffic, new light posts add an old world charm and new trees allow for additional shade.
Future upgrades will be to finish the old carriage house in to a bottom floor function room and innkeepers living quarters upstairs while keeping the original structure intact. This will allow for small weddings and a wide range of art classes plus giving the inn another room or suite to rent within the main house that is currently occupied by the innkeepers. Our two porches will be first and foremost plus new bricked walkways.
